This is the second post from my strolling around Morioka for Sakura or cherry blossoms. This time, “Ishiwarizakura” or the rock splitting cherry tree.

“Ishiwarizakura” is located just in front of Morioka district court with some other cherry trees. In this sakura season, many tourists come to see “Ishiwarizakura” because it’s very unique cherry tree growing up from a crack of a granite boulder and is one of the most attractive sightseeing spot for tourists. It’s like this.

The tree on the right is “Ishiwarizakura” and you’ll see other cherry tree on the left. The building behind trees is the court-house. Isn’t it interesting that so many people come to the court? 🙂
